The Belgian duo of Powerslide Bart Swings and Sandrine Tas have written the international inline tournament of Geisingen on their name. Both Belgians did not win any distance, but were the best in the ranking.
The level of speed skating with competitors from all over the world in the South German Geisingen was extremely high. The Dutch did not skate any good result, but the Belgians Sandrine Tas and Bart Swings certainly did. Tas won the overall because of her good short distances. Tas was twice second and that gave her the victory in the overall. The Colombian Arias won both long distances, but her twe sprint distances were not good enough to win the overall. German Mareike Thum finished third.
For Bart Swings, despite the fact that he won the tournament, the tournament will not be quite satisfactory. Swings did not win a single distance. His teammates did a lot better on the distances. Hamilton Patino Dorado won both long distances and Edwin Estrada won the five hundred meters. In the ranking Peter Michael, also Powerslide, became second. Elton de Souza finished third.
